Preface
Alized with acsthetic diversity of nature encircled by the vastness of Hoor, Mohangong Upazila of Netrokona stands unique in precision. In this diversified nature, hundred of downtrodden people have been seeking out their livings devoid of education and proper civic facilities. Seeing there unkind sufferings of the humanity, a prominent person of this area named Dr. Akhlakul Hossain Ahmed, former member of the constituent Assembly (MCA) and one of the valiant organizer of the liberation war and politician with some of his close associates, dreamt of transmitting standard education among the poverty and ridden people of this vast area. Upon his leadership inspiration, some whole hearted persons donated a piece of land in 1994 for establishing a college. But his unstinted effort did not come to light because of uneven impediments. In course of temporal current, his visionary son Sajjadul Hasan, Biman Private Secretary- 1 to the prime minister, former Chairman of Bangladesh Airlines, present member of parliament (Netrakona -4) has brought his father cone inclination to light in 2015 with the kind approval of Bangladesh government. His benevolent aspiration and administrative perception hasten his father’s vision to reality on with the successful establishment of Shahid Smrity College. The name has been coined on commemoration of the contribution of on valiant freedom fighter who sacrificed their lives for humanitarian crisis.
